All business ventures accept they have a duty by the society as they are also a part of the society. Link Natural Products too initiates social work and thus gives children a pride of place in projects that support welfare and education.
In the year 2005, in the aftermath of the Tsunami devastation when almost the entire coastal population in the South-West, South, East and part of North were left destitute, Link Natural Products shared the responsibility of reconstructing toilet facilities in schools both in the South and the East. In less damaged areas, school children were supported by provision of school bags with water bottles included. Money for this project was raised by setting up a special Fund that collected 10 cents from each sachet of Samahan sold.
For the last 05 years, Link Natural Products help the Provincial Health Authorities to maintain the Pediatric Ward which has 15 beds at the Dompe Base Hospital. Link Natural Products maintains all facilities in this children's ward and helps it to be maintained very hygienically.
During the last two years, Link Natural Products paid more attention to the Dompe divisional area as it is located in Dompe. In an effort to rekindle interest in medicinal herbal gardening in schools in Dompe, Link Natural Products carried through a supportive programme with seminars to create awareness and provided agri inputs.
In December 2006, project by the Grama Seva Niladhari Association of Dompe to provide 120 deserving children with their necessities to begin the New Year in school was totally supported by Link Natural Products.
The coming G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam in December 2007 for which much preparation is needed by students was another corporate social responsibility undertaken by Link Natural Products. Two working seminars were held in Dompe for over 700 students where special tutors provided lectures, exercises and notes on English, Science and Maths, considered the three most important subjects.
Link will continue with its socially responsibility, focusing on the generation that would have to provide new professionals in the future.
